Language

In Belgrade people usually speak Serbian :) However it is quite easy to find people speaking English, Russian or German. Cyrillic and to some extent Latin letters are used officially. Most of street names are written in cyrillic letters.

Thanks – Hvala
Please – Molim vas, molim te
Where is… – Gde je…
Bye – Dovidjenja (official), Zdravo (unofficial)

Prices

The currency in Serbia is Serbian Dinar (RSD). The course varies but it is roughly 1EUR-115RSD. In European terms Belgrade is considered to be a budget-friendly city.

Culture

If you are interested in the history of technical culture, one of the best places to visit is the Nikola Tesla Museum dedicated to famous Serbian scientist. It is situated only 5 minutes from the University Library.
